Privacy Policy
Purpose
Epping Plaza Regional Shopping Centre takes its obligations under the Privacy Act seriously and will take all reasonable steps to comply with the Act and protect the privacy of the personal information that we hold. This policy sets out how we intend to do so.
Collection
The Centre, at all times, collects personal information in a fair and lawful manner. It will usually collect information directly from its customers, clients, suppliers and contractors.
Why we collect it
The Centre collects, stores and uses personal information for the
purposes of providing customers and clients with the relevant product,
service or information on behalf of the Centre and/or its traders
conducting competitions statistical research and marketing activities
of the Centre.
Other organizations may also separately collect your personal
information and share that information with the Centre for the purpose
of letting you know about products or services from across the Group
that might better serve your needs, or promotions and other
opportunities in which you may be interested. Examples of these other
organizations would include other Shopping Centres owned by The Pacific
Shopping Centre Group, or traders within the Centre.
Access and Correction
Individuals have the right to view, amend and have removed from any lists, any personal Information held about them by the Centre. Such requests should be made in writing to the address below.
Security
The Centre will take all reasonable steps to ensure that personal information is secure from any unauthorised access or disclosure.
Storage
We will take all reasonable steps to protect the security of the personal information that we hold. This includes appropriate measures to protect electronic materials and materials stored and generated in hard copy.
Contracting Out
We do not normally contract out services that involve disclosing personal information and personal information will not normally be disclosed to third parties. If the Centre contracts out any of its functions, including information gathering via the Centre's website, it will seek a commitment from the other contracting party that it will treat all personal information in accordance with the Act and this Privacy Policy. Only that information vital to performing the specific contracted function (as outlined above) for and on behalf of the Centre will be disclosed.
